Before you decide on any Sisal rug, you may want to think about who is going to be seeing it, or is it going to be a functional rug as opposed to something to talk about. For instance if you have a family with a few children, you are not going to want to go overboard and spend too much money on a rug that is just going to have traffic going back and forth over it and get ruined. In this case you would be much better off choosing a wool Sisal rug or even a Sisal rug runner because both of these are made more for wear and tear and would be able to handle the heavy traffic.
If you live on your own or with a partner, or otherwise are basically just buying the Sisal rug for show, then you have more options, and you can really go with anything from a Sisal rug with a lace border to a unique tapestry Sisal rug.
Either way you are going to have to take proper care of your rug, and because all Sisal rugs are too delicate to go straight in the washing machine, you will have to take them to the dry cleaners. This only has to be done once every few months or so however, and so it should not be that great of a concern. So choose the sisal rug that is going to work the best for your home and enjoy.
